“Somerville, Cambridge weigh Inner Belt bridge for Community Path”
“We still do not have a complete and safe route to Cambridge and Boston that is agreed to by all parties and funded,” says Alan Moore, co-president of Friends of the Community Path, which has been researching ways to an extended the bike path for 11 years. Cyclists would like to see the community path extended as quickly as possible during the Green Line Extension (GLX). But city officials from Somerville and Cambridge prefer a different route for the path’s completion – a major new bridge from Inner Belt to East Cambridge.
