Public review of Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP) Amendments

The Boston MPO has issued Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP) Amendments for fiscal years 2006 and 2007, and is accepting public comments. Keep reading for more details.


Read the TIP Amendments
The new public comment period starts today and ends March 28, 2006. The next multi-year TIP will have to be undertaken by the Boston MPO within the next two months, so these amendments are critical. But the MPO always welcomes public comments and it is especially nice to send positive ones when appropriate.

Belmont, Cambridge and Somerville Bicycle Facility 1st year in at $1,750,000
Lechmere Station Relocation and Intermodal Design in at $2,214,749
Somerville Cross Street Bridge out
Somerville Union Square study in at $500,000
Lechmere Signal System Improvements in at $4,400,000

Belmont, Cambridge and Somerville Bicycle Facility 2nd year in at $1,250,000
Somerville Beacon Street in at $3,900,000
Somerville Cross Street Bridge in at $2,200,000
Somerville Community Path Phase I in at $1,625,000
