Believe it or not, the “Report of the Legislative Commission on Rapid Transit: 1945” included several proposed rail lines, including a Riverside to Woburn route, which would extend the current rail from Lechmere through Somerville, West Medford, and Winchester to Woburn. Even back in 1945 people realized that extending the Green Line was just common sense!
